These terms cover your use of Dousha, an app by Noramis. By using the app you agree to them.

The app

Dousha keeps the books you own and the readings you make of them: your library, reading sessions, notes, quotes, loans and goals. It works without an account. Your library stays on your device and, while sync is on, in your own private iCloud.

Dousha Plus

Some features are part of Dousha Plus, an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store, monthly or yearly.

• The price and the period are shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• A plan may start with a free trial, shown before you buy. When the trial ends, the subscription starts unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel it in the Settings app, in your Apple Account under Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

What stays free

Plus adds and never takes away. Your library and everything that edits it, adding books by any means, importing from other apps, the iCloud sync, backups, export and erasing everything are free and stay free. If you stop subscribing, your books, readings and backups stay yours.

Your library and what you share

The books, notes, photos, recordings and everything else you add belong to you. You are responsible for what you add and for what you share. When you share something, anyone with its link can open it, and you can stop sharing at any time in Settings › iCloud.

Book information

When you search, scan or look for a cover, details come from public catalogues such as Open Library, BrasilAPI, Apple Books and Google Books. We can’t promise that this information is complete or correct. Covers and book descriptions belong to their authors and publishers.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the app for anything unlawful, don’t share content you have no right to share, and don’t try to copy, change or reverse engineer the app.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, mascot, icons and texts belong to Noramis. Open source components keep their own licenses.

Apple

These terms are between you and Noramis, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Your use must also follow the App Store terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will always be free of errors. Keep a backup of your library with Settings › Data. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from using the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it, and you can take your library with you first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil.
